At San Niklaw Estate four estate grown wines are crafted - Contrada ta Fanġu (Syrah), Despatch (Sangiovese), Kappella San Nikola (Mourvedre) and Neptunus (Vermentino). The red wines are aged in French oak barriques in our underground cellar while the Neptunus Vermentino is ready for bottling the following spring after having matured on its lees. Our wines are full of body and soul and while we strive to achieve complexity and balance, we adopt restraint with alcohol levels and ensure tannins are rounded and velvety from very early on.

The olive grove is made up of 500 trees. Among old indigenous trees there are other varieties including Frantoio, Carolea, Coratina, Ascolano and Picholine. To ensure a quality product, harvesting is performed by hand in September/October time and production is commenced without delay on the Estate utilising state of the art Italian equipment. The end product from the blend of varieties is a fresh fruity and peppery olive oil that, in common with our wines, expresses a unique character derived from our terroir.
